When the Child Protection Door Lock system is en-
gaged , (even if the insid e door lock is in the unlocked
position) the door can be opened only by using the
outsid e door hand le, the RKE transm itter, the switches
on the overhead console or the switches located on the
trim panel just in front of the power sliding door.
WARN ING!
Avoid trap ping anyon e in the veh icle in a collision .
Rem ember that the slid ing doors can only be opened 2
from the outsid e door handle or the switch es located
on the trim panel just in fron t of the power slid ing
door when the Child Protection Door Locks are
engaged .
The power sliding side door will operate from the
switches located on the trim panel just in front of the
power sliding door, regard less of the Child Protection
Door Lock lever position. To avoid uninten tion al

operation of the power slid ing door from the rear 1. Open the sliding side door.
seats, press the ”ON” Master Lock Out Switch lo-
cated in the fron t overh ead console, next to the
driver.

Slide the Child Protection Door Lock control outward

Repeat Steps 1 and 2 on the opposite sliding door (if
equ ipped).
