of operation, and after each time a tire is changed , to
allow the wheel nu ts to becom e prop erly set. All nu ts
shou ld first be firm ly seated against the wheel. The nu ts
shou ld then be tightened to recom mend ed torqu e.
Tighten the nu ts to final torqu e in increm ents. Progress
arou nd the bolt circle, tightening the nu t opposite to the
nu t just previou sly tightened until final torqu e is
achieved . Recom mend ed torqu e is 95 ft lbs (130 N·m).
WARN ING!
A loose compact spare tire/cover assem bly, throw n
forw ard in a collision or hard stop could endanger
the occupants of the veh icle. Alw ays stow the com-
pact spare tire with the cover assem bly in the place
provid ed.

Assem ble the winch hand le extensions to form a “T”
The winch mechanism is design ed for use with the
winch “T” handle only. Use of an air wren ch or oth er
power tools is not recom mended and can damage the
winch.
and fit the winch “T” hand le over the drive nu t. Rotate
the nu t to the left until the winch mechanism stop s
turning freely. This will allow enou gh slack in the cable to
allow you to pull the wheel spacer out from und er the
vehicle.
2. Assem ble the winch hand le extensions to form the
spare tire hook, and pull the wheel spacer from und er the
vehicle.
