In the event of a momentary problem , the transaxle can
be reset to regain all forw ard gears by perform ing the
follow ing step s:

1. Stop the vehicle.
NOTE: To select the prop er gear position for maxim um
deceleration (engine braking), simply press and hold the
shift lever to the left (-). The transaxle will shift to the
range from which the vehicle can best be slow ed down.

Shift into PARK.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
Restart the engine.
Reset Mode - Electron ic Transaxle
Shift into the desired gear range and resu me driving.
The transaxle is monitored electronically for abnorm al
cond itions. If a cond ition is detected that could cause
damage, the transaxle autom atically shifts into second
gear (third gear for six-sp eed ). The transaxle rem ains in
