This featu re allow s you to plug an iPod into the Connecting The iPodா
vehicle’s sou nd system throu gh a 16–pin connector, using Use the provid ed connection cable to connect an iPod to
the provid ed interface cable.

the glove compartm ent on som e vehicles). Once the
iPod is connected and synchronized to the vehicle’s UCI
system (iPod may take a few second s to connect), the
iPod starts charging and is read y for use by pressing
rad io switches, as described below.
UCI supports Mini, 4G, Photo, Nano, 5G iPod and
iPhone devices. Some iPod softw are versions may not
fully support the UCI featu res. Please visit Apple’s
website for softw are updates.

If the rad io has a USB port, connecting an iPod to this
port does not play the media. For playing an iPod,
use the separate 16–pin connector port (in the glove
compartm ent on som e vehicles).

You may have to rem ove the connector pin protection
cap from the 16–pin connector port, prior to connect-
ing the cable.
