Wearin g a seat belt incorrectly is dangerou s. Seat
belts are design ed to go arou nd the large bones of
you r body. These are the stron gest parts of you r
body and can tak e the forces of a collision the best.
Lap/Shoulder Belts
All seats in you r vehicle are equ ipped with lap/ shou lder
belts.

The belt webbing in the retractor is designed to lock
during very sudden stop s or collisions. This featu re
allow s the shou lder part of the belt to move freely with
you und er norm al cond itions. But in a collision, the belt
will lock and red uce the risk of you striking the insid e of
the vehicle or being throw n out.
