UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR  VEHICLE
Tire  Pressu re Disp  lay — If  Equipped
Blan k Screen
Show s the  current  pressu re  of all 4 road  tires.
Show s a blank screen.  Pressing  the C/  T button  retu rns to
the  compass/  tem peratu re display.
Autom atic  Com pass  Calib ration
This  compass    is  self-calibrating    which   eliminates   the
need  to  manu ally  set the  compass.   When  the  vehicle  is
new,  the   compass    may  appear    erratic   and   the   CAL
sym bol will  be displayed  .
After  completing   one  360 degree   turn,  with  the  vehicle
traveling  less  than  5 mph  (8 km/  h), in an  area  free from
large  metal or  metallic  objects, the  CAL sym bol will turn
off and  the  compass  will  function  norm ally.
Manual   Com pass  Calib ration
NOTE:   Tires  heat up  during  norm al driving   cond itions.
Heat  will  cause  the tire  pressu re  to increase  from  2  to 6
psi (14 to 41 kPa) during  norm al driving  cond itions.  Refer
to  “Tire Inflation   Pressu res”  in  Section  5 for  additional
inform ation.
If the compass   appears  erratic  and  the CAL  sym bol does
not appear,   you must  manu ally  put  the compass  into  the
“Calibration”   mode.
