WHAT TO DO IN EMERGENCIES
WARN ING!
Raisin g  the veh icle  high er than   necessary  can  make
the veh icle  less stab le and  cause  an accid ent.  It could
slip  off the  jack  and  hurt  som eon e near  it. Raise  the
veh icle only  enough   to  rem ove the  tire.

Remove  the  lug nu ts and  wheel.
7.
Position  the spare  wheel/  tire on the  vehicle and  install
the lug  nu ts with the  cone-shap ed  end tow ard  the wheel.
Lightly  tighten  the nu ts until they  are equ ally snu g, using
a  crisscross   pattern.   To  avoid   the   risk  of  forcing   the
vehicle  off the jack, do  not tighten  the  nu ts fully until  the
vehicle  has  been lowered  .

Raise the  vehicle  by turning  the  jack hand le clockw ise
until  the  tire clears  the  grou nd .

Lower   the  vehicle  and   rem ove  the  jack  and   wheel
blocks.
