WHAT TO DO IN EMERGENCIES
WARN ING!
WARN ING!
Do  not attem pt  to  push  or tow  you r veh icle  to get  it
started .   Unburned    fuel    could   enter   the   catalytic
converter  and,  once  the engin e has  started , ign ite and
damage   the converter   and  veh icle.
Stan d   clear   of  veh icles   when    pullin g   with   tow
hook s.  Tow  strap s  and  chain s  may   break ,  causin g
seriou s  injury.
TOWING A DISABLED VEHICLE
EMERGENCY TOW HOOKS — IF  EQUIPPED
If you r vehicle  is equ ipped  with  tow  hooks,  they will  be
mounted   in the  front  of the  vehicle.
The  manu  factu rer  recom mend s  tow ing  with   all   four
wheels  off the grou nd . Accep table method s are to tow the
vehicle  on a flatbed  or with  one  end  of the vehicle  raised
and  the  other  end  on a tow ing  dolly.
CAUTIO N!
Tow  hook s are  for  emergen  cy use  only,  to  rescu e  a
veh icle stran ded  off  road . Do  not use  tow  hook s for
tow  tru ck  hook up   or  high way   tow ing.  You  could
damage   you r veh icle.
