FUEL REQUIREMENTS
Your engine is designed to meet all emis-
sions regu lations and provid e excellent
fuel econom y and perform ance when us-
ing high quality unlead ed gasoline having
an octane rating of 87. The use of prem ium
gasoline is not recom mend ed. The use of
prem ium gasoline will provid e no benefit over high
quality regu lar gasoline, and in som e circumstances may
resu lt in poorer perform ance.
The suggested rotation method is the “forw ard -cross”
show n in the follow ing diagram .

NOTE: 4.7L HO Engin es (If Equipped): High quality
prem ium unlead ed gasolin e with an octan e ratin g of 91
is recom mended but not req uired .
Light spark knock at low engine speed s is not harm ful to
you r engine. However, continu ed heavy spark knock at
high speed s can cause damage and immediate service is
requ ired . Engine damage resu lting from operation with a
heavy spark knock may not be covered by the new
vehicle warranty.
