MAINTAINING YOUR VEHICLE
More  than  50%  of you r  driving   is at  sustained   high
speed s during   hot  weather,  above  90°F (32°C)
CAUTIO N!
Overfillin  g  or underfillin   g the  cran kcase  will  cause
aeration   or  loss  of oil  pressu  re. This   could  damage
you r engin e.
If ANYof  these apply  to you , then change  you r engine oil
every  3,000  miles  (5  000  km)  or  3  months,   whichever
comes  first,  and   follow  the  maintenance    recom mend a-
tions  in “Maintenance   Sched ule  B.”
Trailer  tow ing
Taxi, Police,  or delivery   service  (Com mercial Service)
Off road  or  desert  operation
Change   Engin e Oil
If equ ipped  for and  operating   with E-85 (ethanol)   fuel
Road cond itions  as well as  you r kind of driving  affect the
interval  at  which  you r oil shou ld be  changed . Check  the
follow ing to  determ ine  if any  apply  to you :
Day  or night  tem peratu res  are below  32°F (0°C)
Stop  and  go driving
If none of these  apply  to you , then change  you r engine oil
every  6,000  miles  (10 000  km)  or  6 months,   whichever
comes  first.
Extensive  engine  idling
Driving  in  dusty  cond itions
NOTE:    Und er no  circumstances   shou ld  oil  change  in-
tervals   exceed   6,000  miles  (10  000  km)   or  6  months
whichever   comes  first.
Short  trip s of less  than  10 miles  (16.2 km)
