UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR  VEHICLE
Tire Pressure Monitor System —  If Equipped
The  Tire Pressu re  Monitor   (TPM)  system  uses  wireless
technology    to   monitor   tire   pressu re   levels.   Sensors,
mounted   to each wheel  as part  of the valve  stem transm  it
tire  pressu re  read ings to  a  receiver  located  in  the  over-
head  console.
The  tire   pressu re  is   show n  in  the   Electronic   Vehicle
Inform ation   Center   (EVIC)  display.   The  TPM   system
rem ains active  even  if it  is not  displayed  in  the  EVIC.
CAUTIO N!
The  TPM  system   is  design  ed  to  monitor   you r tire
pressu re   and  will   not   function   as   a  tire  pressu  re
gau ge  while   adjustin  g  the   pressu re  in   you r tires.
There  will  be a delay  betw een  the  instan t you  adjust
the   air  pressu  re  in   a  tire   and   when    the   system
updates   the  disp lay.
NOTE:   The  TPM system  can inform  you  abou t a low  or
high   tire  pressu re   cond ition,  but   it  does   not   rep lace
norm al tire  maintenance.
The  TPM  system  is  not  intend  ed  to provid  e you   with
notification   of rap id pressu re  loss.
