WHAT TO DO IN EMERGENCIES

Do not let anyone sit in the vehicle when it is on a jack.
Do not get und er the vehicle when it is on a jack.
Only use the jack in the positions ind icated .
3. Turn off the heater, rad io and all unnecessary electrical
load s.

Connect one end of a jumper cable to the positive
term inal of the discharged battery. Connect the other end
of the sam e cable to the positive term inal of the booster
battery.
If working on or near a road way, be extrem ely carefu l
of motor traffic.

Connect the other cable, first to the negative term inal

of the booster battery and then connect the other end to
a non-p aint metal surface on the engine of the vehicle
with the discharged battery. Make sure you have a good
contact on the engine.
NOTE: Check the charge ind icator on top of the battery.
If the ind icator is light or yellow, rep lace the battery.

such as watch band s or bracelets that might make an
unintend ed electrical contact.
