NOTE: When lifting up on the release hand le, the
seatback will release easier if you do not pull forw ard on
the seatback; only lift up on the release hand le until the
seatback disengages, then fold the seat forw ard .
To restore the 60/40 rear seat to the uprigh t
position perform the follow ing step s:
Raise the seatback and lock it into place. If interference
from the cargo area prevents the seatback from fully
locking, you will have difficulty retu rning the seat cush-
ion to its prop er position. Remove the head rests from the 3
cushion panel storage position and reinstall into the rear
seat back.
WARN ING!
Be certain that the seatb ack is secu rely lock ed into
position . If the seatb ack in not secu rely lock ed into
position the seat will not provid e the prop er stab ility
for child seats and/or passen gers. An improp erly
latch ed seat could cause seriou s injury.
Rotate the seat cushion rearw ard until it is latched into
place.
