Mode Selection

in the instru ment panel. Use this mode to rap idly cool the
insid e of the vehicle. The Recircu lation mode can also be
used to tem porarily block out outsid e odors, smoke, and
dust.
The mode selector (the right
rotary knob) can be set in any
of the follow ing positions:
Panel
Air flows throu gh the outlets located in the instru -
ment panel.
Bi-Level
Air flows both throu gh the outlets located in the
instru ment panel and those located on the floor.
OFF
This position turns off the blow er motor and outsid e air
will not pass throu gh any outlets.
Floor
Air flows throu gh the floor outlets located und er
the instru ment panel and into the rear seating area
throu gh vents und er the front seats.
Recircula tion
The recircu lation featu re can be selected with the
mode control knob. Outsid e air is norm ally
draw n into the vehicle in all of the other modes, such as
panel air, bi-level, floor, floor/ defrost, and the defrost air
