Improp er tow ing can lead to an injury accid ent.
Follow these guidelin es to make you r trailer tow ing
as safe as possib le:
Do not connect a trailer lighting system directly to the
lighting system of you r vehicle. Use an approved
trailer wiring harness. Failu re to do so could damage
the vehicle electrical system and / or resu lt in personal
injury.
•
Be sure a trailer is load ed heavier in front, abou t 10%
to 15% of gross trailer weight. Load s balanced over the
wheels or heavier in the rear cause the trailer to sway
severely side to side which will cause loss of control of
the vehicle and trailer. Failu re to load trailers heavier
in front is the cause of many trailer related accidents.
