Adding Coolan t
CAUTIO N!
When adding coolant, a minim um solu tion of 50% rec-
ommend ed HOAT ethylene glycol coolant in water
shou ld be used . Use higher concentrations (not to exceed

Mixin g of coolan ts oth er than the specified HOAT
coolan t may resu lt in decreased corrosion protec-
tion and engin e damage that may not be covered
under the new veh icle warran ty. If a non-HOAT
coolan t is introd uced into the coolin g system in an
emergen cy, it should be rep laced with the speci-
fied coolan t as soon as possib le.

Use only high purity water such as distilled or deionized
water when mixing the water/ antifreeze solu tion. The
use of lower quality water will red uce the amount of
corrosion protection in the engine cooling system .

Do not use plain water alon e or alcoh ol base
antifreeze prod ucts. Do not use addition al rust
inhibitors or antiru st prod ucts, as they may not be
compatib le with the rad iator coolan t and may
plug the rad iator.
Please note that it is the owner’s resp onsibility to main-
tain the prop er level of protection against freezing ac-
cord ing to the tem peratu res occurring in the area where 7
the vehicle is operated .
NOTE: Mixing coolant typ es will decrease the life of the
engine coolant and will requ ire more frequ ent engine
coolant changes.
This veh icle has not been design ed for use with
Prop ylen e Glycol based coolan ts. Use of Prop y-
len e Glycol base coolan ts is not recom mended.
