UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR  VEHICLE
when   valid   tire  pressu re   sensor   messages   have   been
received   from  all 4  road  tires.  TPM  system   function   is
tem porarily  unavailable   due  to  external  electrom agnetic
interference,  such  as electronic  devices  or nearby  rad io or
TV tow ers.
5.  With the  5 Tire TPM  System , if a road  tire is  rep laced
by  the spare,   the  TPM system   will autom  atically  detect
that  the  tires  have  been  switched  (after  the  ignition  has
been   cycled )  and   display   SPARE  SWAP   DETECTED
along  with   a chim e.  This  could  take  up  to  10  minu tes
with  vehicle  speed  above  25 mph  (40 km/  h).

In  addition   to monitoring    the vehicle   tires,  the  TPM
system   monitors   faults   within   the  system .  When   any
fault  has  been   set,  the  TPM  system   will  display   TIRE
SENSOR BAD/ MISSING.  Be sure to insp ect you r tires for
prop er inflation   pressu re. After  you determ  ine that  you r
tires are  prop erly inflated , see  you r authorized  dealer  for
service  to diagnose   the  problem  with  the  TPM system .
6.  With the  4 Tire TPM  System , if a road  tire is  rep laced
by the  spare, the  TPM system  will display   TIRE SENSOR
BAD/ MISSING.  This  is due   to the  spare   tire not  being
equ ipped  with a tire  pressu re sensor. Once  the road  tire is
rep aired  and / or  installed  back  on  the  vehicle   with  the
prop er  tire pressu re  the  message  will  be  rem oved . This
could  take up  to 10 minu tes  with  vehicle speed  above  25
mph  (40 km/  h).
