Alw ays store the jack , lug wren ch and spare, flat
or damaged tire secu rely in the prop er place.
Never leave them loose in the veh icle where they
could becom e dangerou s projectiles durin g a
quick stop or collision .
The jack is design ed to use as a tool for changin g
tires only. The jack should not be used to lift the
veh icle for service purposes, unless suitab le sup-
ports are placed under the veh icle as a safety
measu re, The veh icle should be jack ed on a firm
level surface only. Avoid ice or slip pery areas.

Open the liftgate.
Grasp the cover on both sides at the edge adjacent to
the carp et depressions and lift the cover to unlatch. The
cover may be placed forw ard to lean again st the rear
