STARTING AND OPERATING
After Starting
The engine   block heater  cord  is  located :
The idle  speed  will  autom atically  decrease  as the  engine
warm s up.
6-cylind er  engine   —  bund led   and   fastened   to   the
injector  rail betw een  injectors  1 and  2.
V-8 engine  — coiled  and  strap ped to  the transm  ission
filler tube.
CAUTIO N!
Long  period  s  of  engin e  idlin  g,  esp ecially  at  high
engin e  speed s can  cause  excessive  exhaust   tem pera-
tures  which   can  damage  you r veh icle.  Do  not  leave
you r veh icle unatten  ded  with   the  engin e running.
WARN ING!
Rem ember   to  discon nect   the  cord   before   drivin  g.
Damage   to the  110-115 volt  AC  electrical  cord  could
cause  electrocu tion .
ENGINE BLOCK HEATER — IF  EQUIPPED
The   engine   block  heater    warm s  engine   coolant    and
perm its quicker   starts  in cold  weather.  Connect  the  cord
to  a   stand ard   110-115  volt  AC   electrical   outlet   with
grou nd ed, three  wire  extension  cord .
Use the  heater  when  tem peratu res  below  0°F (-18°C) are
expected  to  last for  several  days.
