ROOF LUGGAGE RACK
CAUTIO N!
External racks do not increase the total load carrying
capacity of the vehicle. Be sure that the total occupant
and luggage load insid e the vehicle, plus the load on the
luggage rack, do not exceed the rated vehicle capacity.

To preven t damage to the roof of you r veh icle, DO
NOT carry any load s on the roof rack with out cross
rails installed . The load should be secu red and
placed on top of the cross rails, not directly on the
roof. If it is necessary to place the load on the roof,
place a blan ket or som e oth er protection betw een the
load and the roof surface.

This vehicle is not equ ipped with roof rack cross rails as
built, unless ord ered as optional equ ipment. Cross rails
must be installed prior to carrying load s on the roof rack.
If not equ ipped, you r authorized dealer can ord er and
install Mop ar cross rails built specifically for this roof
rack system or a nu mber of after market rails that are
tailored to you r life-style or activities.
To avoid damage to the roof rack and veh icle, do not
exceed the rated load capacity of you r cross rail system
or the roof rack system maximum load capacity of 150
lbs (68 kg). Always distrib ute heavy load s as even ly as
possib le and secure the load approp riately.

Long load s which exten d over the windshield , such
as wood panels or surfb oard s, should be secu red to
both the fron t and rear of the veh icle.
Travel at red uced speed s and turn corn ers carefu lly
when carryin g large or heavy load s on the roof rack .
Win d forces, due to natu ral causes or nearb y tru ck
traffic, can add sudden upward load s. This is esp e-
cially tru e on large flat load s and may resu lt in
damage to the cargo or you r veh icle.
