UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR  VEHICLE

Leavin g  the  Speed  Con trol  ON  when   not  in  use  is
dangerou  s. You  could  accid entally  set  the  system  or
cause  it  to go  faster   than  you  want.   You could   lose
control   and    have   an  accid ent.   Alw ays   leave   the
system  OFF  when  you  aren ’t usin  g it.
To help  keep   you r veh icle under  control,   do not  use
Speed  Con trol  under   these  condition  s:
When  it  is not  possible  to  keep  you r vehicle  at  a  set
speed .
•  inIn heavyspeed ,ororvaryingon windtrafficing  roadvolus.me,  in traffic that  varies
On  slippery  road s, such  as on  snow  or  ice.
Driving Up or Down Hills
When  going   up  or  down   hills,  it  is  possible   for  you r
vehicle  to  lose  or   gain  speed ,  even  thou gh  the  Speed
Control  is engaged  . If going down   a hill steep  enou gh to
cause  the  vehicle  to  gain  speed ,  press  the  brake  pedal,
which  will  disengage   the  Speed  Control   and  help  slow
you r vehicle.
Be sure  to  turn  the  Speed  Control   switch  to  the OFF
position  when   not in  use  to avoid  accidental   engage-
ment.
