UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR  VEHICLE
ELECTRONIC SPEED CONTROL
To Activate
When  engaged , this  device  takes  over  accelerator  opera-
tions  at   speed s  greater   than  40  mph   (60  km/  h).  The
controls  are mounted  on  the steering  wheel  and consist  of
ON·OFF,  SET, RES·ACCEL, CAN CEL, and  COAST  con-
trols.
Press  the ON·OFF  button  to turn  the system  ON.  To turn
the  system   OFF,  press  the  ON·OFF   button   again.  The
system   shou ld  be  turned    OFF  when   not  in  use.   The
CRUISE  ind icator  light   in  the  instru ment   cluster   will
illuminate   when  the  system  is ON.
To Set at a Desired  Speed
When  the  vehicle  has  reached   the  desired   speed , press
and  release  the  SET button.   Release  the  accelerator  and
the  vehicle  will operate   at the  selected  speed .
To Deactivate
A soft tap on the  brake pedal,  norm al braking,  or pressing
the  CAN CEL button   will  deactivate   the  Speed  Control
withou t  erasing   the  memory.   Pressing   the  ON·OFF  to
turn  the system  OFF or turning   off the ignition  erases  the
memory.
