UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL
U.S. federal regu lations requ ire that upon transfer of
vehicle ownership , the seller certify to the purchaser the
correct mileage that the vehicle has been driven. There-
fore, if the odometer read ing is changed during rep air or
rep lacem ent, be sure to keep a record of the read ing
before and after the service so that the correct mileage can
be determ ined .
CAUTIO N!
Drivin g with a hot coolin g system could damage
you r veh icle. If the tem peratu re gage read s high , pull
over and stop the veh icle. Idle the veh icle with the
air condition er turned off until the poin ter drop s
back into the norm al ran ge. If the poin ter rem ain s in
the high ran ge, turn the engin e off immediately, and
call for service.
The trip odometer record s distance in miles from when-
ever the “Reset” button is pushed . To switch from the
odometer being displayed to the trip odometer being
displayed , press the “Reset” button.

Reset Button
Press this button to toggle betw een the odometer and trip
odometer display. When in the trip odometer mode,
hold ing the button in resets the trip odometer.

O/D (Overdrive) Off Indica tor Light
This light will illuminate when the O/ D OFF
button has been selected . The O/ D OFF button is
located on the gear shift lever.

Odomet er/Trip Odomet er
The odometer show s the total distance the vehicle has
been driven. There are six digits inclu ding lead ing zeros.
The odometer is tam per-resistant.
