vehicle is driven more than 1 mile (1.6 km) with either
turn signal on.
Move the Multi-Function Lever up or down and the
corresp ond ing turn signal ind icator in the instru ment
cluster flashes to show prop er operation of the front and
rear turn signal lights.
High beam /Low beam Select Switch
Push the Multi-Function Lever away from you to switch
the head lights to HIGH beam . Pull the Lever tow ard s
you to switch the head lights back to LOW beam .

Moving the Multi-Function Lever up or down also causes
the corresp ond ing turn signal ind icator in the outsid e
mirror (if so equ ipped) to flash. For details, refer to
“Ou tsid e Mirrors with Turn Signal & Approach Light-
ing” und er “Mirrors” in this section.
Flash to Pass
You can signal another vehicle with you r head lights by
lightly pulling the Multi-Function Lever tow ard you .
This will cause the head lights to turn on at high beam
and rem ain on until the lever is released .
You can also signal a lane change by moving the lever
partially up or down withou t moving beyond the detent.
Releasing the lever at the detent will provid e 3 flashes.
If either light has a very fast flash rate, check for a
defective outsid e light bulb. If an ind icator fails to light
when the lever is moved , it would suggest that the fuse
or ind icator is defective or there may be a circuit failu re.
NOTE: A “Turn Signal On” message will appear in the
Electronic Vehicle Inform ation Center (EVIC) — if
