SELF–SEALING TIRES — IF EQUIPPED
CAUTIO N!
A non-hard ening viscou s sealant applied to the inner
liner of each tire fills punctu res up to 0.19 in. (5 mm) to
minim ize the loss of air pressu re. This contribu tes to the
safety of the vehicle by significantly red ucing the prob-
ability of a road side stop due to a flat tire.
To avoid damage to you r veh icle or tires, observe the
follow ing precau tion s:

that only chain s in good condition are used . Brok en
chain s can cause seriou s damage. Stop the veh icle
immediately if noise occurs that could indicate chain
break age. Rem ove the damaged parts of the chain
before furth er use.
TIRE CHAINS
Use only compact chains, or other traction aid s that meet
SAE typ e “Class S” specifications. Chains must be the
prop er size for the vehicle, as recom mend ed by the chain
manu factu rer.

Install chain s on the rear wheels as tigh tly as pos-
sib le and then retigh ten after drivin g about 1⁄
mile

NOTE: Do not use tire chains on a compact spare tire.

Do not exceed 30 mph (48 km/h).
Drive cautiou sly and avoid severe turns and large
bumps, esp ecially with a load ed veh icle.

Use on Rear Wheels only.
Do not drive for prolon ged period on dry pavem ent.
Observe the tire chain manufactu rer’s instru ction s
on the meth od of installation , operatin g speed , and
condition s for use. Alw ays use the low er suggested
operatin g speed of the chain manufactu rer if differ-
ent from the speed recom mended by the manufac-
ture.
