autom atically using the heating system . Shou ld the de-
sired comfort level requ ire air cond itioning, the system
will autom atically make the adjustm ent.
The controls on the climate control provid e the system
with operator inp ut. The dual sun-sensor monitors sun
load coming throu gh the wind shield . The infrared sensor
ind epend ently measu res the surface tem peratu re of the
driver and passenger. Other sensors take accou nt of
vehicle-sp eed , A/ C pressu re, outsid e tem peratu re, and
engine cooling tem peratu re. Using all of these inp uts, the
system autom atically adjusts airflow tem peratu re, air-
flow distribu tion, airflow volu me, and the amount of
outsid e air recircu lation. This maintains a comfortable
tem peratu re even und er changing cond itions.
You will experience the greatest efficiency by simply
allow ing the system to function autom atically. Selecting
the OFF position on the fan control stop s the system
completely and closes the outsid e air intake.
