Windshield Washers/Headlight Washers — If
Equipped
The wind shield washer and the head light washer (if
equ ipped) share the sam e fluid reservoir. The fluid
reservoir is located in the front of the engine compart-

check the fluid level in the reservoir at regu lar intervals.
Fill the reservoir with wind shield washer solvent (not
rad iator antifreeze) and operate the system for a few
second s to flush out the resid ual water.
Windshield Wiper Blades
The rubber edges of the wiper blad es and the wind shield
shou ld be cleaned period ically with a sponge or soft cloth
and a mild nonabrasive cleaner. This will rem ove accu-

The fluid reservoir will hold nearly 1 gallon (4 liters) of
washer fluid when the message “Low Washer Fluid”
appears in the Electronic Vehicle Inform ation Center
(EVIC) — if equ ipped.
Operation of the wipers on dry glass for long period s
may cause deterioration of the wiper blad es. Alw ays use
washer fluid when using the wipers to rem ove salt or dirt
from a dry wind shield .

the wind shield . Keep the blad e rubber out of contact with
