If the sensor is damaged due to an accident, see you r
authorized dealer for service.
Do not attach or install any accessories near the sensor,
inclu ding transp arent material or afterm arket grilles.
Doing so could cause an ACC system failu re or
malfunction.

When the cond ition that deactivated the system is no
longer present, the system will retu rn to the “ACC Off”
state and will resu me function by simply reactivating it.
NOTE: Installing a vehicle front-end protector or an
afterm arket grille or modifying the grille is not recom -
mend ed. Doing so may block the sensor and inhibit ACC
operation.
ACC Sen sor Location
To keep the ACC System operating prop erly, it is impor-
tant to note the follow ing maintenance item s:
Service ACC Warn ing
•
Alw ays keep the sensor clean. Carefu lly wipe the
sensor lens with a soft cloth. Be cautiou s not to
damage the sensor lens.
If the system turns off, and the EVIC displays “SERVICE
ACC,” it ind icates there is an internal system fault that
requ ires service from an authorized dealer.
•
Do not rem ove any screw s from the sensor or the
sensor mount. Doing so could cause an ACC system
malfunction or failu re and requ ire a sensor re-
alignm ent.
