NOTE: If program ming a garage door opener or gate
operator, it is advised to unp lug the device during the
ЉcyclingЉ process to prevent possible overheating.
Erasing HomeLink Buttons
To erase program ming from the three buttons (ind ivid ual
buttons cannot be erased but can be Љrep rogram medЉ -
note below ), follow the step noted :

Continu e to press and hold the HomeLink button
while you press and release you r hand -held transm itter
every two secon ds until the frequ ency signal is accep ted
successfu lly by HomeLink. The EVIC will display “Chan-
nel X Trained ” (where X is Channel 1, 2, or 3). Proceed
with ЉProgram mingЉ Step 4 to complete the proced ure.

Press and hold the two outer HomeLink buttons.
Release the buttons only when the EVIC displays
“Channels Cleared ” (after 20 second s); how ever, do
not hold the buttons for longer than 30 second s.
HomeLink is now in the train (or learning) mode and
can be program med at any time beginning with ЉPro-
gram mingЉ Step 2.

Using HomeLink
To operate, simply press and release the program med
HomeLink button. Activation will now occur for the
trained device (i.e. garage door opener, gate operator,
security system , entry door lock, hom e/ office lighting,
etc.). For convenience, the hand -held transm itter of the
device may also be used at any time. In the event that
there are still program ming difficulties or questions,

Reprogramming a Single HomeLink Button
To program a device a previou sly trained HomeLink
button, follow these step s:
1. Press and hold the desired HomeLink button. Do
NOT release the button.

The EVIC will display “Channel X Transm it” (where X

“Channel X Training.” Withou t releasing the HomeLink
button, proceed with ЉProgram mingЉ Step 2.
