belt snugly.

ous. Your body could strik e the insid e surfaces of the
veh icle in a collision , increasin g head and neck
injury. A belt worn under the arm can cause intern al
injuries. Rib s aren ’t as stron g as shoulder bones.
Wear the belt over you r shoulder so that you r stron -
gest bones will tak e the force in a collision .
Connecting Latch Plate To Buckle

A shoulder belt placed behind you will not protect
you from injury durin g a collision . You are more
lik ely to hit you r head in a collision if you do not
wear you r shoulder belt. The lap and shoulder belt
are mean t to be used togeth er.
