Inform ation
Center (EVIC), the power wind ow
switches, rad io, power sunroof (if equ ipped), and
power outlets will rem ain active for up to 60 minu tes
after the ignition switch is turned off. Opening either
front door will cancel this featu re. The time for this
featu re is program mable. For details, refer to “Delay
Pow er Off to Accessories Until Exit,” und er “Personal
Settings (Custom er Program mable Featu res),” und er
“Electronic Vehicle Inform ation Center (EVIC)” in
Section 4 of this manu al.
An unlock ed car is an invitation to thieves. Alw ays
rem ove key from the ign ition and lock all doors
when leavin g the veh icle unatten ded.
Key-In-Ignition Reminder
If you open the driver’s door and the key is in the ignition
switch, a chim e will sou nd to rem ind you to rem ove the
key.
NOTE: The Key-In-Ignition rem ind er only sou nd s
when the ignition key is placed in the LOCK or ACC
positions.
WARN ING!
Never leave child ren alon e in a veh icle. Leavin g
child ren in a veh icle unatten ded is dangerou s for a
number of reason s. A child or oth ers could be
seriou sly or fatally injured . Don’t leave the keys in
the ign ition . A child could operate power windows,
oth er controls, or move the veh icle.
