Press and hold the two outer HomeLink buttons.
3. Simultaneou sly press and hold the HomeLink button
(that you want to train) and the hand -held transm itter
button. Do not release the button s until Step 4 is
complete.
Release the buttons only when the EVIC displays “Chan-
nels Cleared ” (after 20 second s); how ever, do not hold
the buttons for longer than 30 second s. Do not rep eat this
step if program ming a second or third hand -held trans-
mitter to the rem aining HomeLink buttons.
NOTE: Some gate operators and garage door openers
may requ ire you to rep lace this Program ming Step 3 with
proced ures noted und er ЉGate Operator/ Canad ian Pro-
gram ming.Љ

The EVIC will display “Channel X Training” (where X
is Channel 1, 2, or 3). Release both buttons after the EVIC
displays “Channel X Trained .”
NOTE: If the EVIC displays “Did Not Train,” rep eat
Steps 2–4.

Press and hold the just trained HomeLink button and
observe the EVIC display. If the EVIC displays “Channel
X Transm it” (where X is Channel 1, 2, or 3), then
program ming is complete, and you r device shou ld acti-
vate when the HomeLink button is pressed and released .

Position the end of you r hand -held transm itter 1-3
inches (3-8 cm) away from the HomeLink buttons.
NOTE: To program the rem aining two HomeLink but-
tons, begin with ЉProgram mingЉ Step 2. Do not rep eat
Step 1.
