MAINTAINING YOUR VEHICLE
All Wheel Drive (AWD) — If Equipped
The all wheel drive system consists of a Transfer Case
and Front Differential. The exterior surface of these
components shou ld be insp ected for evid ence of fluid
leaks. Confirm ed leaks shou ld be rep aired as soon as
possible.

The transfer case fluid insp ection plug is located in the
middle of the rear hou sing. To insp ect the transfer case
fluid level, rem ove the insp ection plug. The fluid level
shou ld be even with the bottom of the hole. The transfer
case fill plug is located on the rear hou sing near the
output shaft.
Severe Usage is defined as:

More than 50% of vehicle operation in stop and go
traffic where vehicle is driven regu larly for more than 45
minu tes of continu ous operation, such as in heavy city or
in constru ction zone traffic.

The front differential fill plug is located on the outer
cover near the halfshaft attachm ent. To insp ect the differ-
ential fluid level, rem ove the fill plug. The fluid level
shou ld be even with or slightly below the bottom of the
hole.
Front and Rear Wheel Bearings
Front and rear wheel bearings are perm anently sealed .
No regu lar maintenance is requ ired for these compo-
nents.
