Life of Tire
Replacement Tires
The service life of a tire is depend ent upon varying
factors inclu ding but not limited to:
The tires on you r new vehicle provid e a balance of many
characteristics. They shou ld be insp ected regu larly for
wear and correct cold tire inflation pressu re. The manu -
factu rer strongly recom mend s that you use tires equ iva-
lent to the originals in size, quality and perform ance
when rep lacem ent is need ed (refer to the paragrap h on
“Tread Wear Ind icators”). Refer to the “Tire and Load ing
Inform ation” placard for the size designation of you r tire.
The service descrip tion and load identification will be
found on the original equ ipment tire. Failu re to use
equ ivalent rep lacem ent tires may adversely affect the
safety, hand ling, and rid e of you r vehicle. We recom mend
that you contact you r original equ ipment or an autho-
rized tire dealer with any questions you may have on tire
specifications or capability.

WARN ING!
Tires and spare tire should be rep laced after six
years, regard less of the rem ain ing tread . Failu re to
follow this warn ing can resu lt in sudden tire failu re.
You could lose control and have an accid ent resu lt-
ing in seriou s injury or death .
Keep dismounted tires in a cool, dry place with as little
exposu re to light as possible. Protect tires from contact
with oil, grease, and gasoline.
