the vehicle speed is less than 5 mph (8 km/ h), unless
the wiper control on the multi-function lever is moved
or the shift lever is moved out of the N (Neutral)
position.
The Rain Sense featu re can be turned on and off
throu gh the Electronic Vehicle Inform ation Center
(EVIC) — if equ ipped. For details, refer to “Personal
Settings (Custom er Program mable Featu res)” und er
“Electronic Vehicle Inform ation Center (EVIC)” in
Section 4 of this manu al.
Adding Washer Fluid
The wind shield washer fluid reservoir is located in the
front of the engine compartm ent on the passenger side of
the vehicle. Be sure to check the fluid level in the
reservoir at regu lar intervals. Fill the reservoir with
wind shield washer solvent (not rad iator antifreeze) and
operate the system for a few second s to flush out the
resid ual water.
The rain sensing system has protective featu res for the
wiper blad es and arm s. It will not operate und er the
follow ing cond itions:

Low Temperatu re Wip e Inhibit — The rain-sensing
featu re will not operate when the ignition is first
switched ON, and the vehicle is stationary, and the
outsid e tem peratu re is below 32° F (0° C), unless the
wiper control on the multi-function lever is moved , or
the vehicle speed becom es greater than 0 mph (0
km/ h), or the outsid e tem peratu re rises above freez-
ing.
