Rain Sensing Wipers—If Equipped
NOTE: A custom er program mable featu re in the Elec-
tronic Vehicle Inform ation Center (EVIC) allow s the Rain
Sense featu re to be turned off. Refer to “Personal Set-
tings” in the Electronic Vehicle Inform ation Center sec-
tion of this manu al for details.
This featu re senses moistu re on the wind shield and
autom atically activates the wipers for the driver. The
featu re is especially useful when road splash or over-
spray from the wind shield washers of the vehicle ahead
requ ires quick but brief wiping action. The sensitivity of
the system to the amount of water on the glass can be
adjusted with the rotary knob on the wiper stalk. Wiper
delay positions 1–6 ind icate the rain sensing wiper sen-
sitivity where 1 is the least sensitive, and 6 is the most
sensitive.

Mist Feature
Push the wiper lever in to activate a single wipe to clear
off road mist or spray from a passing vehicle. As long as
the lever is pushed in, the wipers will continu e to
operate.
Headlamps On With Wipers (Available with Auto
Headlights Only)
NOTE: The rain sensing featu re will not operate when
the wiper switch is in the LOW or HIGH speed position.
The head lights will turn on approxim ately 10 second s
after the wipers are turned on if the head light switch is
placed in the AUTO position. The head lights will also
turn off when the wipers are turned off if they were
turned on by this featu re. This featu re can be turned on or
off using the Electronic Vehicle Inform ation Center
(EVIC) — If equ ipped. Refer to ”Head lamps On With
Wipers” in the Electronic Vehicle Inform ation Center
section of this manu al for details.

Turn the windshield wipers off when drivin g

windshield wipers may resu lt if the wiper switch is
left in any position oth er than OFF.
