MAINTENANCE SCHEDULES
EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
The “Sched uled” maintenance services, listed in bold
typ e must be done at the times or mileages specified to
assu re the continu ed prop er functioning of the emission
control system . These, and all other maintenance services
inclu ded in this manu al, shou ld be done to provid e best
vehicle perform ance and reliability. More frequ ent main-
tenance may be need ed for vehicles in severe operating
cond itions such as dusty areas and very short trip
driving.

There are two maintenance sched ules that show the
req uired service for you r vehicle.
First is Sched ule “B”. It is for vehicles that are operated
und er the cond itions that are listed below and at the
beginning of the sched ule. Change the autom atic trans-
mission fluid and filter every 60,000 miles (96 000 km) if
the vehicle is usually operated und er one or more of the
cond itions marked with an छ.

malfunction is suspected .

may be perform ed by any autom otive rep air establish-
ment or ind ivid ual using any autom otive part which has
been certified pursu ant to U.S. EPA or, in the State of
California, California Air Resou rces Board regu lations.
