Malfunct ion Indica tor Light
This light will turn on momentarily as a bulb check when
the engine is started .
This light is part of an onboard diagnostic
system called OBD that monitors engine and
autom atic transm ission control system s. The
When the tire pressu re monitoring system warning light
is lit, one or more of you r tires is significantly und erin-
flated . You shou ld stop and check you r tires as soon as
possible, and inflate them to the prop er pressu re as
ind icated on the tire and load ing inform ation placard .
Driving on a significantly und erinflated tire causes the
tire to overheat and can lead to tire failu re. Und erinfla-
tion also red uces fuel efficiency and tire tread life, and
may affect the vehicle’s hand ling and stop ping ability.
Each tire, inclu ding the spare, shou ld be checked
monthly when cold and set to the recom mend ed inflation
pressu re as specified in the tire and load ing inform ation
placard .
light will illuminate when the key is in the ON
position before engine start. If the bulb does not come
on when turning the key from OFF to ON, have the
cond ition checked prom ptly.
Certain cond itions such as a loose or missing gas cap,
poor fuel quality, etc. may illuminate the light after
engine start. The vehicle shou ld be serviced if the light
stays on throu gh several of you r typ ical driving cycles. In
most situ ations the vehicle will drive norm ally and will
not requ ire tow ing.
The Malfu nction Ind icator Light flashes to alert you to
seriou s cond itions that could lead to immediate loss of
power or severe catalytic converter damage. The vehicle
shou ld be serviced as soon as possible if this occurs.

Voltage Light
This light monitors the electrical system volt-
age. The light shou ld turn on momentarily as
the engine is started . If the light stays on or turns on
