ON. The defroster autom atically turns off after approxi-
mately 10 minu tes of operation for the first push of the
button, and will turn off after approxim ately 5 minu tes
for the second push of the button.
NOTE: Extend ed use of recircu lation may cause the
wind ows to fog. If the interior of the wind ows begins to
fog, press the “Recircu late” icon button to retu rn to
outsid e air. Some tem p./ hu midity cond itions will cause
captured interior air to cond ense on wind ows and ham -
per visibility. For this reason, the system will not allow
“Recircu late” to be selected while in the defrost or
defrost/ floor modes. Attem pting to use the recircu lation
while in these modes will cause the LED in the button to
blink and then turn off.
CAUTIO N!
To avoid damagin g the electrical conductors of the
rear window defroster, do not use scrap ers, sharp
instru ments, or abrasive window clean ers on the
interior surface of the window.
Summer Operation
The engine cooling system in air cond itioned vehicles
must be protected with a high-qu ality antifreeze coolant
to provid e prop er corrosion protection and to protect
against engine overheating. A 50% solu tion of ethylene
glycol antifreeze coolant in water is recom mend ed. Refer
to section 7, Maintenance Proced ures, of this manu al for
prop er coolant selection.
Labels can be peeled off after soak ing with warm
water.
This button can be used to block out smoke,
odors, dust, high hu midity, or if rap id cooling
is desired . The recircu lation mode shou ld only
be used tem porarily. The button inclu des an
LED that illuminates, and an audible beep ind icates that
the recircu lation mode is active. You may use this featu re
separately.
