Remove the fastener securing the spare tire.
3. Before raising the vehicle, use lug wrench to carefu lly
pry off wheel cover (if equ ipped with steel wheels) or
center cap (if equ ipped with aluminu m wheels).

Jacking and Changing a Tire

Block the wheel diagonally
WARN ING!
opposite the flat tire. Passengers
shou ld not rem ain in the vehicle
when the vehicle is being jacked .
To avoid possib le person al injury, handle the wheel
covers with care to avoid contact with the metal
edges and reten tion teeth .
2.
Remove the spare tire, jack and lug wrench.
