SELF–SEALING TIRES—IF EQUIPPED
The Tire Pressu re Monitoring Ind icator Lamp will
illuminate in the instru ment cluster, and an au-
dible chim e will be activated when one or more
tire pressu res is low. The Tire Pressu re Monitoring Ind i-
cator Lamp will flash on and off for ten second s when a
system fault is detected . The flash cycle will rep eat every
ten minu tes or until the fault cond ition is rem oved and
reset.
A non-hard ening viscou s sealant applied to the inner
liner of each tire fills punctu res up to 0.19 in. (5 mm) to
minim ize the loss of air pressu re. This contribu tes to the
safety of the vehicle by significantly red ucing the prob-
ability of a road side stop due to a flat tire.
