Vehicles equ ipped with Anti-Lock brakes (ABS), are also
equ ipped with Electronic Brake Force Distribu tion (EBD).
In the event of an EBD failu re, the Brake Warning Light
will turn on along with the ABS Light. Immediate rep air
to the ABS system is requ ired .

the parking brake is applied or a brake fault is detected .
If the light does not illuminate, have the light insp ected
by an authorized dealer.
14. Temperature Gauge
The tem peratu re gau ge show s engine coolant tem pera-
ture. Any read ing within the norm al range ind icates that
the engine cooling system is operating satisfactorily.
The light also will turn on when the parking brake is
applied with the ignition switch in the ON position.
The gau ge pointer will likely ind icate a higher tem pera-
ture when driving in hot weather, up mountain grad es,
or when tow ing a trailer. It shou ld not be allow ed to
exceed the upper limits of the norm al operating range.
NOTE: This light show s only that the parking brake is
applied. It does not show the degree of brake application.
