Cuts and punctu res in rad ial tires are rep airable only in
the tread area becau se of sidewall flexing. Consu lt you r
authorized tire dealer for rad ial tire rep airs.

High speed drivin g with you r veh icle under maxi-
mum load is dangerou s. The added strain on you r
tires could cause them to fail. You could have a
seriou s accid ent. Don’t drive a veh icle load ed to the
maxim um capacity at contin uous speed s above 75
mph (120 km/h).
Compact Spare Tire — If Equipped
The compact spare is for tem porary emergency use with
rad ial tires. It is engineered to be used on you r style
vehicle only. Since this tire has limited tread life, the
original tire shou ld be rep aired (or rep laced ) and rein-
stalled at the first opportu nity.

Radial-Ply Tires

Temporary use spare tires are for emergen cy use
only. With these tires, do not drive more than 50 mph
(80 km/h). Temporary-u se spare tires have lim ited
tread life. When two or more tread wear indicators
appear in adjacen t grooves, the tem porary use spare
tire need s to be rep laced . Be sure to follow the
warn ings which apply to you r spare. Failu re to do so
could resu lt in spare tire failu re and loss of veh icle
control.
Com bining rad ial ply tires with oth er typ es of tires
on you r veh icle will cause you r veh icle to handle
poorly. The instab ility could cause an accid ent. Al-
ways use rad ial ply tires in sets of fou r (or 6, in case
of tru cks with dual rear wheels). Never combine
them with oth er typ es of tires.
