The EVIC display will show “Channel X Training”
WARN ING!
Your motorized door or gate will open and close
while you are train ing the Universal Transceiver. Do
not train the tran sceiver if peop le or pets are in the
path of the door or gate. A movin g door or gate can
cause seriou s injury or death to peop le and pets or
damage to objects.
NOTE: If the EVIC display show s “Did Not Train”
rep eat step s 2–4.

5. Press and hold the just trained HomeLink button and
observe the EVIC display. If the EVIC display show s
“Channel X Transm it” (where X is Channel 1, 2, or 3),
program ming is complete and you r device shou ld acti-
vate when the HomeLink button is pressed and released .

Position the end of you r hand -held transm itter 1-3
inches (3-8 cm) away from the HomeLink buttons.
NOTE: To program the rem aining two HomeLink but-
tons, begin with ЉProgram mingЉ step two. Do not rep eat
step one.

Simultaneou sly press and hold both the HomeLink
button that you want to train and the hand -held trans-
mitter buttons. Do not release the button s until step 4
has been completed .
NOTE: If you r hand -held transm itter appears to pro-
gram the universal transceiver, but you r garage door
does not operate using the transm itter and you r garage
door opener was manu factu red after 1995, you r garage
door opener may have a multiple security code system
(rolling code system ). Please proceed to step s 6–8 to
