Do not use a tire, wheel size or ratin g oth er than
that specified for you r veh icle. Som e combina-
tion s of unapproved tires and wheels may change
suspension dimension s and perform ance charac-
teristics, resu ltin g in changes to steerin g, han-
dlin g, and brak ing of you r veh icle. This can cause
unpred ictab le handlin g and stress to steerin g and
suspension components. You could lose control
and have an accid ent resu ltin g in seriou s injury or
death . Use only the tire and wheel sizes with load
ratin gs approved for you r veh icle.
Rep lacin g origin al tires with tires of a differen t size
may resu lt in false speed ometer and odometer read -
ings.
Alignment And Balance
Poor suspension alignm ent may resu lt in:
• Fast tire wear.
•
Uneven tire wear, such as feathering and one-sid ed
wear.
•
Tires may also cause the vehicle to pull to the left or right.
Alignm ent will not correct this cond ition. See you r dealer
for prop er diagnosis.
Vehicle pull to right or left.

Never use a tire with a smaller load index or
capacity, oth er than what was origin ally equipped
on you r veh icle. Usin g a tire with a smaller load
index could resu lt in tire overload ing and failu re.
You could lose control and have an accid ent.
Improp er alignm ent will not cause vehicle vibration.
Vibration may be a resu lt of tire and wheel out-of-
balance. Prop er balancing will red uce vibration and
avoid tire cupping and spotty wear.
Failu re to equip you r veh icle with tires havin g
adequate speed capability can resu lt in sudden
tire failu re and loss of veh icle control.
