Power Steering — Fluid Check
Checking the power steering fluid level at a defined
service interval is not requ ired . The fluid shou ld only be
checked if a leak is suspected , abnorm al noises are
apparent, and / or the system is not functioning as antici-
pated . Coord inate insp ection efforts throu gh a certified

A/C Air Filter
The filter is located in the fresh air inlet und er the hood ,
behind a rem ovable panel in the cowl on the passenger
side of the vehicle, next to the wind shield wipers. When
installing a new filter, ensu re its prop er orientation. To
rep lace the filter rem ove the access door in the cowl
screen by pressing the retaining clips. Slide the lid on the
filter adapter forw ard and down and rem ove used filter.
Install new filter with arrow s pointing in the direction of
airflow, which is tow ard the rear of the vehicle (text and
arrow s on the filter ind icate this).
WARN ING!
Fluid level should be checked on a level surface and
with the engin e off to preven t injury from movin g
parts and to insure accurate flu id level read ing. Do
not overfill. Use only manufactu rers recom mended
power steerin g flu id.
If necessary, add fluid to restore to the prop er ind icated
level. With a clean cloth, wipe any spilled fluid from all
surfaces. Refer to Recom mend ed Fluids, Lubricants, and
Genu ine Parts for correct fluid typ e.
Refer to the “Main ten ance Schedules” section of this
manual for the recom mended air condition ing filter
rep lacem ent intervals.
