UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL
To set the varian ce: Turn the ignition switch ON. Press
and hold the compass button for approxim ately 2 sec-
ond s. Use the SCROLL buttons until “Com pass Variance”
is highlighted . The “Com pass Variance” message and the
last variance zone nu mber will be displayed . Press and
release FUNCTION SELECT button until the prop er
variance zone is selected accord ing to the map. Press and
release the compass button to exit.
Telephone — If Equipped
Press and release the MENU button until Telephone is
displayed in the EVIC.
When the approp riate cond itions exist, the EVIC pro-
vid es the follow ing telep hone inform ation:

Phone statu s: idle, voice mail, roam ing, battery
strength and signal strength in increm ents of 20 per-
cent.
Call statu s: Incom ing call, connecting, connected , air
time in minu tes and second s, call end ed, call failed ,
roam ing and no phone connection.
U-Connect Active.
