It is essen tial when rep lacin g the cables on the
battery that the positive cable is attach ed to the
positive post and the negative cable is attach ed to
the negative post. Battery posts are mark ed posi-
tive (+) and negative (-) and identified on the
battery case. Cab le clam ps should be tigh t on the
term inal posts and free of corrosion .

If a “fast charger” is used while battery is in
veh icle, discon nect both veh icle battery cables
before connectin g the charger to battery. Do not
use a “fast charger” to provid e startin g voltage.

Air Conditioner Maintenance
R-134a Air Cond itioning Refrigerant is a hyd roflu orocar-
bon (HFC) that is end orsed by the Environm ental Pro-
tection Agency and is an ozone-saving prod uct. How-
ever, the manu factu rer recom mend s that air cond itioning
service be perform ed by dealers or other service facilities
using recovery and recycling equ ipment.
For best possible perform ance, you r air cond itioner
shou ld be checked and serviced by an Authorized Dealer
at the start of each warm season. This service shou ld
inclu de cleaning of the cond enser fins and a perform ance
test. Drive belt tension shou ld also be checked at this
time.
