tap ping the Electronic Speed Control lever three times
will increase speed by 3 mph (4.8 km/ h), etc.
WARN ING!
Electron ic Speed Con trol can be dangerou s where the
system cannot main tain a constan t speed . Your ve-
hicle could go too fast for the condition s, and you
could lose control. An accid ent could be the resu lt.
Do not use Electron ic Speed Con trol in heavy traffic
or on road s that are winding, icy, snow-covered or
slip pery.
To decrease speed while Electronic Speed Control is on,
push down and hold SET DECEL. Release the Electronic
Speed Control lever when the desired speed is reached ,
and the new speed will be set.
Tapping the SET DECEL button once will resu lt in a
1
mph (1.6 km/ h) speed decrease. Each time the button is
tap ped, speed decreases.
To Accelerate for Passing
Dep ress the accelerator as you would norm ally. When the
pedal is released , the vehicle will retu rn to the set speed .
Manual Transmission
Pressing the clutch pedal will disengage the Electronic
Speed Control. A slight increase in engine RPM before the
Electronic Speed Control disengages is norm al.
