Main tain ing Your Airb ag System

Airb ag Warn ing Ligh t
You will want to have the airbag system read y to inflate
for you r protection in an impact. The airbag system is
designed to be maintenance free. If any of the follow ing 2
occurs, have an authorized dealer service the system
prom ptly:

Modification s to any part of the airb ag system
could cause it to fail when you need it. You could
be injured if the airb ag system is not there to
protect you . Do not modify the components or
wirin g, including adding any kind of badges or
stick ers to the steerin g wheel hub trim cover or the
upper righ t sid e of the instru ment panel. Do not
modify the fron t bumper or veh icle body stru c-
ture.

equipment on or behind the knee bolsters.

airb ag system you rself. Be sure to tell anyon e who
work s on you r veh icle that it has an airb ag system .
In the event of an accident, you r vehicle is designed to
record up to five second s of specific vehicle data param -
eters (see the follow ing list) in an event data record er
prior to the moment of airbag deploym ent, or near
deploym ent, and up to a quarter second of high-sp eed
